A weekly after-school drama session run by David Allcock 

PGCE (Sp.L.D), Cert Ed, 

registered LAMDA exams teacher, Acting Gold Medal, with Distinction

This session to be in English only, as a vehicle to develop:

• Confidence  

• Enjoyment of all aspects of drama 

• English language skills  

• Specific Drama skills in 

• working cooperatively  

• acting 

• mime 

• musical theatre 

• public speaking 

• performance 

• basic working drama terminology

Performance is a key element of the proposal, with ‘sharing’ at the end of each session and a more  formal showcase being held at the end of each term. 

​

A higher level aim would be to develop an awareness and working knowledge of the basic  ‘offstage’ skills such as lighting, sound, set design, costume, stage management and production.
